Management and leadership are not the same thing. Managers are organisers who focus on
operations. Leaders work with others to
encourage them to use their own initiative and improve their skills so that
work is completed to the highest standard. These distinctions are important and
need to be recognised in the workplace.
Good supervisors are both Managers and Leaders.
